hi! I'm elicia

i am a 500-hour certified yoga teacher and have been teaching yoga since 2016.

yoga found me in 2015 when i happened to very sheepishly poke my head into a yoga studio and was spotted by the owner who invited me in and let me know it was their opening weekend and all classes were free for the next two days.

i took my first class the following day and literal minutes into practice i thought "im going to do this forever". and the rest is history.

i started my 200 hour teacher training that same year in september and graduated in march of 2016. i began teaching in april and haven't stopped since.

after completing my 200 hour training in 2016, i went through a 300 hour training in 2021.

my yoga education focused heavily on meditation, vinyasa, hatha, ashtanga, and yin practices which are what i tend to gravitate toward most often. ive also had the pleasure of learning and teaching cardio yoga, and weighted sculpt yoga classes over the years.

to be honest i couldn't possibly pick a favorite style. i think every type of yoga class serves a unique purpose and i am so grateful that there are so many different avenues for people to discover the right practice for them.

no matter the pace or energetic intensity level, all of my classes are open to everyone and there are always options to customize the practice to make sure you meet yourself exactly where you are on any given day.

more than anything else, what drew me to yoga was the community. i was welcomed in by a stranger who became one of the most influential people in my life, i completed my first training with the best sangha a girl could ever ask for (see right), and ive shared and received more love and trust in my decade of teaching yoga than some people get to experience in an entire life.

your practice is yours but the benefits are shared. we come to our practice to breathe, move, learn, and explore, but i truly think the best part is that we do it together.

so, even here in our virtual space where we may not be in close physical proximity,

i want you to know without any doubt that you are an invaluable part of this community. you are safe, loved, and fully supported here. we are better because you are with us.

when im not teaching you can almost certainly find me at home.

i am the definition of homebody.   i love to be home.

my life is very simple and intentionally uneventful. i spend my time crocheting, reading, running, sitting quietly in my back yard, connecting with my family, and snuggling my very clingy 17 year old cat.

on the off chance that i am not teaching or at home, i'm probably taking a friends class (michelle & nina ilysm), at the beach if its summer, at a PWHL game, or stuffing my face at some incredible vegan restaurant.

i am 37 years old and very happily child free. i have been vegan since my 26th birthday.

i drink a monster energy every day and my other favorite beverage is pickle juice. i have an obsession with all shades of the blue-green colors. i am anti AI, anti MAGA, anti ICE, and all the other acronyms for things that lack humanity.

love is love is love is love is love
